The Alliance area's distribution centres, freight terminals and light industry are minutes away, and new residential development has filled in rapidly all around them.
Roanoke is our industrial town. Dock doors, warehouse roll-ups and freight-terminal openings here do not run a dozen cycles a day, they run hundreds, and they are on operations that genuinely do not stop — a distribution centre with a dead dock door is losing money by the hour. That work needs commercial coiling and sectional hardware, high-cycle springs, commercial operators and, above all, a company that answers at three in the morning and arrives with the part. We stock for it rather than ordering, and we schedule around shift changes because that is when a bay can be released. The residential side of Roanoke is ordinary new-build work and a much simpler day.
