The heat is the part most people underestimate. A sealed garage with a west-facing door can reach well past a hundred and twenty degrees on an August afternoon, and hardware is not specified for that. Bearing grease thins and runs out, nylon rollers and vinyl seal lose their flexibility a season at a time, and the logic board in the motor head sits in that same air. It is why we fit heat-rated parts and why we set force limits with summer conditions in mind rather than for the day we happen to be standing there.
